The Cebu Maritime Expo (CME) 2026 was held from April 22 to 24, 2026, at the IEC Convention Center (IC3), I.F. Pope John Paul II Avenue, Cebu City. Recognized as the premier maritime trade event in the Visayas, the expo brought together key stakeholders from the maritime industry, including shipowners, seafarers, government partners, maritime organizations, industry leaders, and various exhibitors.
Organized by the One Maritime Group, the three-day event highlighted the latest developments and innovations in shipping, shipbuilding, ship repair, maritime technology, and the blue economy. It served as an important venue for industry professionals to exchange knowledge, establish business connections, and discuss opportunities and challenges affecting the Philippine maritime sector.
One of the major highlights of the event was the 1st National Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Convention, which focused on strengthening and modernizing the country’s local shipbuilding and ship repair industry. The convention brought together industry stakeholders to discuss strategies, policies, and initiatives that could support the continued growth and competitiveness of the Philippine maritime sector.
The expo also featured a job fair that provided employment opportunities for Filipino seafarers. Hundreds of seafarers were given the opportunity to meet and connect directly with prospective employers and manning agencies. This activity helped bridge the gap between maritime professionals seeking employment and companies looking for qualified personnel.
Another significant part of the Cebu Maritime Expo was the exhibition and product showcases. Exhibitors presented various maritime equipment, technologies, services, and innovations. The event also featured participation from organizations such as the Philippine Coast Guard, maritime equipment providers, and marine tourism operators, giving visitors a broader view of the different sectors contributing to the maritime industry.
Overall, the Cebu Maritime Expo 2026 was a successful and meaningful gathering that promoted innovation, employment, collaboration, and industry development. The event provided a valuable platform for maritime professionals and stakeholders to share ideas, explore business opportunities, and support initiatives aimed at strengthening the Philippines’ maritime industry. It also emphasized the important role of Cebu and the Visayas region as a center for maritime activities, trade, and industry development.
